Job Title: Sous Chef

Overview:
We’re seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to partner with the Executive Chef in leading a high-volume, scratch kitchen. This role is responsible for back-of-house operations, food quality, butchering oversight, and team development. The Sous Chef provides direction and training to the kitchen team while maintaining high standards of excellence, organization, and hospitality.
What You’ll Do:
- Support the Executive Chef in all areas of responsibility
- Lead back-of-house team members, daily operations, and food production
- Provide coaching, counseling, and feedback to develop team members
- Manage ordering of produce, seafood, and food supplies
- Conduct bi-weekly inventory with accuracy and accountability
- Write and manage back-of-house schedules to staffing goals
- Recruit, interview, and hire team members as needed
- Supervise and participate in butchering and portion control on each shift
- Create a positive kitchen culture focused on quality, cleanliness, and teamwork

What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 2 years in a management role within a high-volume, full-service restaurant
- Experience in operations with $4M+ annual sales volume
- Strong butchering and scratch kitchen experience required
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Calm, organized, and composed under pressure
- Passionate about hospitality and committed to the industry
