Chef de Cuisine Responsibilities and Benefits:

· Creating a positive, team-focused kitchen culture where the BOH is energized, respectful, and passionate about great food

· Executing innovative, on-brand dishes that reflect seasonality, quality ingredients, and culinary vision

· Overseeing and mentoring all levels of the kitchen team — from prep to sous chef

· Maintaining impeccable food safety, sanitation, and health code standards

· Collaborating with FOH leadership and ownership on menu rollouts, events, and promotions

· Developing and updating menus based on trends, seasonal availability, and guest feedback

· Building vendor relationships and sourcing the best ingredients locally and regionally

· Managing kitchen budgets, inventory systems, and BOH financial performance

· Supporting catering and private event execution in addition to daily restaurant service

· Recruiting, hiring, scheduling, and building a team culture of excellence and accountability

· Leading with humility, coaching team members for growth, and modeling hospitality from the back of house

Chef de Cuisine Qualifications:

· Minimum 2 years experience as a Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine in a high-quality kitchen

· Experience with new restaurant openings, menu development, or concept launches a plus

· Strong foundation in scratch cooking, kitchen systems, and recipe execution

· Ability to manage food/labor costs, vendor ordering, and kitchen financials

· Hands-on leadership style with a focus on teaching and team development

· Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills

· ServSafe Certified (or willing to become certified)

· Must be professional, punctual, ego-free, and passionate about food and people

· Valid driver’s license and ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
