An established, multi-state healthcare manufacturing company is seeking a highly skilled Controller to oversee accounting operations and play a critical role in financial leadership. Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 6+ years of financial/accounting experience
- CPA or MBA preferred
- Proficiency with ACCPAC, MS Excel, and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, INFOR highly desirable)
- Prior management experience with direct reports
- Manufacturing industry experience, preferably medical instruments
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to upgrade and enhance accounting functions
- Positive, proactive change agent with process improvement expertise
Must Haves:
- Lead daily accounting operations including AP, AR, treasury, payroll, and expense reports
- Oversee financial reporting, forecasting, month/quarter/year-end close, and audits
- Manage daily cash flow, cash reporting, and rebate processes with distributors
- Conduct variance analysis to budget/forecast and provide recommendations to leadership
- Partner with external auditors and accounting firms to ensure compliance
- Evaluate and implement process improvements in accounting procedures and internal controls
- Serve as a key advisor to senior leadership and the Board on accounting/system issues
Preferred Background & Skills:
- ERP implementation and optimization experience
- Human Resources experience a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships across all levels of the organization
- Ability to balance high-level strategy with hands-on execution
- Track record of successfully leading accounting teams through change and growth
