Overview
A fast-growing technology company is seeking its first dedicated Senior Accounting Manager to establish and own the organization’s day-to-day accounting operations. This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on Senior Accounting Management professional who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys building processes from the ground up, and wants to play a critical role in shaping the financial infrastructure of a rapidly scaling business.
Key Responsibilities
Build and Scale Accounting Operations
- Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Own and continuously improve the monthly close process to deliver timely and accurate financial statements.
- Establish accounting policies and implement internal controls to support sustainable growth.
Lead Systems Implementation & Integration
- Take ownership of software rollout and integrate it with key financial and operational platforms.
- Design efficient workflows that reduce manual processes and enhance scalability.
- Own the chart of accounts and ensure accurate data flow across all systems.
Ensure Compliance and Operational Excellence
- Manage tax, audit, and compliance activities in partnership with external advisors.
- Ensure GAAP-compliant financial reporting and address technical accounting issues as needed.
- Develop documentation and scalable processes to support future expansion.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally with exposure to high-growth or startup environments.
- Public Accounting experience is REQUIRED.
- CPA designation is a plus.
- Proven experience managing monthly close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Previous experience with NetSuite or a large ERP is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to design efficient, scalable workflows.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across functions.
