Sanitation Manager – Food Manufacturing / Bakery
Compensation: $90,000 – $100,000 + benefits
We are seeking an experienced Sanitation Manager to oversee all sanitation and food safety programs within a high-volume food manufacturing environment. This leader will ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, and local regulations while driving best practices for cleanliness, hygiene, and employee training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop a sanitation team to maintain facility-wide cleanliness and compliance.
- Oversee all sanitation-related policies, procedures, and documentation, including Master Sanitation Schedules (MSS).
- Partner with QA, Production, and Maintenance teams to ensure equipment and work areas are cleaned and sanitized according to standards.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, and FSMA requirements.
- Implement continuous improvement practices in sanitation efficiency and safety.
- Manage relationships with chemical suppliers, auditors, and third-party service providers.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of sanitation leadership experience in food manufacturing (bakery or confectionery experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, FSMA, and allergen control programs.
- Demonstrated success leading and developing teams in a high-volume production environment.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, or off-shifts as needed.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
