General Manager – Fine Dining Sushi | New York, NY
We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the team at one of New York City’s most acclaimed fine dining sushi restaurants. This is a rare opportunity to join a world-class hospitality group and oversee the daily operations of an intimate, high-touch dining experience known for its precision, elegance, and artistry.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire the front-of-house team to deliver exceptional guest experiences with a strong focus on hospitality, consistency, and detail.
- Collaborate closely with the culinary team to ensure seamless service and execution at the highest level.
- Manage scheduling, training, and development of staff, fostering a culture of excellence and professionalism.
- Oversee financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, inventory, and cost control.
- Maintain standards of service, cleanliness, and compliance in line with fine dining operations.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of management experience in fine dining or Michelin-rated restaurants.
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine, omakase-style service, and premium wine/sake programs is highly preferred.
- Direct experience in sushi or omakase restaurants is a major plus.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- A passion for hospitality and creating unforgettable guest experiences.
