Distributed Generation Electrical Engineer – Benefits and Compensation
- Base salary range: $90,000 – $120,000 (commensurate with experience)

Distributed Generation Electrical Engineer – Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with transmission and distribution (T&D) utilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with engineering software such as CYME and GIS (preferred)
Must Haves
- Perform project screenings and system impact studies for distributed generation interconnections
- Review and analyze developer documentation for completeness and accuracy
- Create preliminary engineering designs and project cost estimates based on study results
- Collaborate with consulting firms, internal DG team members, and external solar developers
- Maintain project records and documentation throughout the interconnection process
- Contribute to short-term capital project planning, scope development, and prioritization
Preferred Background & Skills
- Previous experience working directly with distributed generation or renewable energy interconnections
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills for managing internal and external relationships
- Ability to navigate multiple projects and competing priorities with initiative and independence
- Proven track record of driving efficiency and improvement in engineering processes
