Controller – Healthcare / Multi-Entity Accounting | New York, NY
A growing healthcare organization with a mission-driven model is seeking an experienced Controller to lead corporate accounting from its Manhattan headquarters. This is a rare opportunity to join a scaling business that blends healthcare, specialty services, and animal care, while building systems that support rapid growth to $100M+ in revenue. Relocation support is available for qualified candidates.
Controller – Benefits and Compensation:
- $190,000–$230,000 base salary (commensurate with experience)
- Sign-on bonus up to $25,000

Controller – Requirements & Qualifications:
- CPA with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Significant experience in corporate accounting leadership (Controller or equivalent)
- Background in healthcare or healthcare-related fields
- Proven success managing accounting in multi-entity, multi-state organizations
- Proficiency in Oracle NetSuite; Hyperion experience a plus
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, audits, tax, and compliance
- Experience supporting revenues of $80M+ and scaling systems toward $100M+
- Track record of mentoring and developing junior accounting teams
- Ability to set financial expectations and hold teams accountable to high standards
- Collaborative, ethical, and detail-oriented leadership style
- Comfortable working on-site (5 days in-office for the first 6 months; hybrid 3+ days thereafter)
Controller – Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience in veterinary or specialty healthcare organizations
- Success implementing scalable processes in rapidly growing companies
- Familiarity with equity structures and financial modeling for expansion
- Passion for mentoring and developing accounting staff in early-career stages
