Head of Sales – Commercial Insurance
Location: San Francisco, CA (on-site required, limited flexibility)
Compensation: $250K–$300K OTE (base + bonus + equity)
A high-growth, venture-backed insurance platform is seeking a Head of Sales to partner with the CEO in building and scaling its sales organization. This company is redefining the commercial insurance market by applying modern technology and AI to streamline brokerage operations and deliver faster, more efficient service.
The Role
- Lead and manage a growing sales team (currently 4, scaling rapidly)
- Drive hands-on execution: closing deals, responding to clients, and modeling sales excellence
- Recruit, coach, and develop top-performing producers (targeting 10–15 by 2026, scaling to 100+)
- Partner closely with the CEO on sales strategy, structure, and client acquisition
- Manage and expand commercial lines while maintaining a high-velocity growth culture
Ideal Candidate
- Proven leadership in commercial insurance sales (director, agency leader, or producer manager)
- Active P&C license
- Comfortable in a startup environment with intensity and long hours
- Hands-on operator who can both lead and sell
- Energized by high-growth, founder-led ventures
- Based in San Francisco (on-site presence required)
