Assistant General Manager – Benefits & Compensation

Assistant General Manager – Requirements & Qualifications
- 2+ years of café or coffee shop management experience with a strong foundation in food and beverage operations
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional customer service mindset with a commitment to creating a warm guest experience
- Strong organizational and financial abilities, including budgeting, cost control, and reporting
- Excellent communication skills with adaptability to work with staff, guests, and vendors
- Genuine passion for high-quality food, beverages, and customer service
Assistant General Manager – Must Haves
- Lead daily operations and act as Manager on Duty in the GM’s absence
- Ensure exceptional customer service, addressing guest concerns with professionalism
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, and training while managing labor costs
- Monitor sales, COGs, labor, and expenses, proactively identifying areas for improvement
- Maintain food and beverage prep, menu development support, and retail display standards
- Ensure health and safety compliance across front and back of house
- Collaborate on marketing and promotions to drive customer engagement and sales
Assistant General Manager – Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience in specialty coffee or bakery/patisserie operations
- Strong merchandising and retail display skills
- Background in marketing or promotions within hospitality settings
- Track record of successfully building high-performing, engaged teams
