Director of Human Resources – Hospitality Group
A fast-growing hospitality group with multiple restaurant concepts is seeking a hands-on Director of Human Resources to lead and evolve its HR function across several high-volume, guest-facing venues. This is a unique opportunity to shape the employee experience, drive operational excellence, and build scalable systems in a dynamic, service-driven environment.
About the Director of Human Resources Role
Reporting to the VP of Operations, the Director of HR will oversee a team of ~300 employees across multiple restaurant brands. The role includes direct supervision of an HR Administrator and full ownership of core HR functions including:
- Recruiting & Onboarding: Build and manage hiring pipelines for hourly and salaried roles
- Training & Development: Design programs that support growth, retention, and service excellence
- Payroll Oversight: Ensure accurate and compliant payroll operations
- Benefits Strategy: Lead negotiations and optimize offerings to support employee well-being
- Compliance & Legal: Maintain adherence to labor laws and hospitality-specific regulations
- HR Systems: Evaluate and implement platforms to streamline HR operations
- Culture & Engagement: Champion a positive, inclusive, and performance-driven workplace
Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience in HR leadership, within hospitality, retail, or service industries
- Certification – SHRM-CP/SPC; SPHR or commensurate experience
- Comfortable in a hands-on role with both strategic and tactical responsibilities
- Skilled in benefits negotiation, compliance, and HR technology implementation
- Strong emotional intelligence and ability to foster team cohesion across diverse roles
- Open to candidates ready to step up from an Assistant Director role or those with multi-unit oversight experience
Director of Human Resources Compensation
- Competitive salary range: $120K–$150K, commensurate with experience
