Sales Accounting Manager Benefits & Compensation
- Opportunity to lead sales-related accounting operations impacting customer profitability and consolidated financials
- Manage and mentor a dedicated team of deductions analysts and pricing coordinators
- Exposure to cross-functional collaboration with Sales, FP&A, AR, and Commercial Executives
- Visibility with senior leadership, including Controller and business unit executives
- Contribute to strategic pricing, promotions, and trade spend visibility in a growing CPG organization
Sales Accounting Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years’ experience in accounting/finance with strong revenue cycle orientation
- 3+ years’ leadership experience managing financial personnel
- Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel; exposure to PeopleSoft, Blacksmith, or Power BI is a plus
- Strong grasp of GAAP, financial reporting, and revenue recognition principles
Sales Accounting Manager Must Haves
- Proven ability to manage deductions, rebates, and promotional expense accruals
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of accountability and team development
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across functions and with executives
- Ability to work independently under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and analytical skills
Sales Accounting Manager Background & Skills
- Hands-on experience in Gross-to-Net reporting, deductions management, and promotional accounting
- Skilled at month-end close, reconciliations, accruals, and profitability reporting
- Experienced in customer profitability analysis and supporting pricing decisions
- Comfortable with systems, reporting tools, and data analysis (Excel, BI tools, ERP)
- Documented history of process improvements and operational enhancements
