Grill Cook / Manager in Training Position Summary:
As a Grill Cook / Manager-in-Training, you’ll play a critical role in the daily operations of our kitchen, especially at the grill station—while learning the management side of the business. The ideal candidate is experienced in high-volume service, has a strong work ethic, and is eager to step into a leadership role.
Grill Cook / Manager in Training Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare grilled menu items consistently and efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards at all times
- Assist with food prep, inventory, and kitchen organization
- Monitor food quality and presentation
- Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service
- Support and motivate team members during busy shifts
- Learn and assist with scheduling, inventory management, and training as part of the manager-in-training development track
- Lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and perform physically demanding tasks on your feet for long periods
Grill Cook / Manager in Training Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a high-volume grill or line cook role
- Spanish Speaking a Must
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations and safety standards
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask, stay calm under pressure, and solve problems quickly
- Eagerness to learn and grow into a management position
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Must be able to lift heavy items and perform strenuous physical tasks
- Food Manager Certification or ServeSafe
