Director of Accounting Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Community Management Accounting department, ensuring timely and accurate full-cycle financial reporting.
- Serve as the senior accounting advisor to Client Boards, offering financial forecasting, strategic insights, and fiduciary support.
- Oversee tax filings, audits, banking relationships, and monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP, GASB, and Florida statutes.
- Drive process improvements and implement systems that support scalable, efficient financial operations.
- Champion a culture of accountability, innovation, and high ethical standards within the accounting team.
Director of Accounting Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA preferred, not required).
- Minimum 10 years of full-cycle accounting experience, including 6+ years in leadership.
- Expertise in accrual-based accounting and financial operations in the property management or association sector.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing accounting teams.
- Strong command of GAAP, regulatory compliance, and internal control frameworks.
- Exceptional communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
Director of Accounting Compensation & Benefits
