What You’ll Do:
- Represent clients in Virginia General District Court matters, including contract disputes, landlord/tenant cases, real estate disputes, and other civil litigation
- Draft, edit, and review legal documents, pleadings, and contracts
- Communicate with clients to understand their needs, provide guidance, and develop effective legal strategies
- Conduct residential real estate closings
- Prepare estate plans, business agreements, and other transactional documents
- Stay current on legislation relevant to practice areas
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies while exercising independent judgment
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
- Admission to the Virginia Bar, or pending bar admission (third-year practice certificate required if pending)
- Prior experience with General District Court preferred; Circuit Court exposure is a plus.
- Confidence in decision-making and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to high ethical standards, professionalism, and teamwork
- Desire to learn, grow, and contribute to a collaborative legal culture
