Assistant Restaurant Manager – Requirements & Qualifications
- 50-hour workweek commitment
- Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or equivalent experience
- Ability to manage timelines, multitask, and lead in a fast-paced setting
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
- ServSafe and TIPS certification must be obtained within 30 days
- Able to lift, carry, push, and pull moderate weight without assistance
- Experience overseeing staff and directing team performance
- Customer-first mindset with a commitment to service excellence
Must-Haves
- Daily presence during high-volume “golden hours” to support operations and staff
- Conduct daily pre-shift stand-ups and ensure team engagement
- Handle guest feedback professionally and proactively ensure satisfaction
- Collaborate on forecasting, scheduling, budgeting, and requisitions
- Submit and follow up on maintenance requests through Synergy
- Monitor and control inventory and bar procedures, including bottle counts and waste tracking
- Professional communication via email and phone with internal and external guests
Preferred Background & Skills
- Previous leadership experience in hotel food & beverage operations
- Background in luxury or upscale casual dining environments
- Familiarity with hospitality scheduling, purchasing, and budgeting software
- Demonstrated experience mentoring and developing team members
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Enthusiastic about creating a culture of service, accountability, and growth
