Join a leading retail organization as the Buyer for Tobacco, where you’ll drive category strategy, optimize product mix, and boost profitability through data-driven decisions. This is a high-impact role for a strategic thinker who thrives on building strong supplier partnerships and leading cross-functional initiatives.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute data-driven category strategies that maximize revenue and margins.
- Manage pricing, assortment, and promotional activities to deliver results.
- Oversee item setup and ensure accurate execution in the company’s Pricebook.
- Analyze market, sales, and competitor data to inform decisions.
- Negotiate costs, contracts, and trade spend to optimize profitability.
- Collaborate closely with Merchandising, Marketing, and Operations teams.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor pricing.
- Lead product development initiatives and mentor team members.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- 3+ years of Tobacco category management experience in retail.
- Proven skills in analysis, negotiation, and problem-solving.
- Experience managing supplier relationships.
- Strong Microsoft Office and Google Suite proficiency (SQL is a plus).
- Excellent communication and time management abilities.
