Our client is looking for a Director of Facilities Engineering who will oversee all engineering operations for their group of businesses in California. The facility located between the Bay Area and the Central Valley of CA. This director will ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and development of our potable water treatment facility, wastewater treatment facility, HVAC systems, refrigeration units, work order system, and all other mechanical systems.
Director of Facilities Engineering benefits:
- Base salary $120 – $150k (higher end of range requires 7-10 + years of hotel experience)

- M-F 8-5 onsite position
Director of Facilities Engineering Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the engineering team, providing mentorship and professional growth opportunities.
- Develop strategies to improve system efficiency, reliability, and sustainability. Oversee water treatment operations, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Manage HVAC and refrigeration system design, installation, and maintenance for optimal energy efficiency.
- Implement a work order system for tracking and prioritizing tasks.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth mechanical system operations.
- Manage the engineering budget and adopt industry best practices and new technologies.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Director of Facilities Engineering Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in overseeing hotel and/or resort facilities maintenance
- Ability to manage engineering and CapEx budgets
- Strong construction oversight and project management skills
