About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic, experienced Tax Manager who thrives in a leadership role and is excited to mentor others, drive strategy, and help clients protect and grow their wealth. You’ll join a collaborative remote team and be empowered to shape firm-wide processes and client experience.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and mentor a fully remote tax team (currently 4 staff)
- Review complex business (1065s, 1120s) and individual returns (1040s with passthroughs, investments, etc.)
- Deliver customized tax strategy, planning, and consulting to small business clients
- Guide technical development and communication skills of your team
- Partner with leadership to refine pricing, workflow, and service delivery
- Help shape the firm’s future as part of its strategic leadership team
Who You Are:
- A seasoned tax pro with 8+ years in public accounting
- You’ve reviewed returns, managed teams, and advised clients directly
- You’re tech-savvy and excited about the role of AI and cloud-based tools
- You’re collaborative, direct, and coachable—with a desire to grow into future firm leadership
- You hold a CPA or EA license
- You’ve worked remotely or run your own practice and love mentoring others
Bonus Points For:
- Experience serving clients in the wellness center, real estate, or professional service industries
- Familiarity with CCH Axcess, QBO, or Xero
- Background in pricing, billing, and business development strategy
- Passion for process improvement and systems optimization
