An established and rapidly growing construction company in the Phoenix metro area is seeking a Vice President of Operations to lead all aspects of project delivery, team performance, and strategic growth. This is a hands-on executive leadership role with full P&L ownership, reporting directly to the owner.
Vice President of Operations – Compensation & Benefits:
- $200,000 base salary

Vice President of Operations – Requirements & Qualifications:
- 10+ years of leadership experience in construction, manufacturing, or industrial services
- Proven success managing cross-functional teams across operations, project management, engineering, and field services
- Strong command of budgeting, forecasting, and full P&L responsibility
- High emotional intelligence and the ability to lead with clarity, structure, and empathy
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Phoenix metro area (on-site leadership required)
Must Haves – Day-to-Day Focus:
- Establish internal structure, streamline communication, and ensure departmental accountability
- Hold project managers and construction teams to clearly defined deliverables and timelines
- Implement systems to improve visibility and coordination across office, field, and leadership
- Collaborate closely with the owner to enable a focused sales and culture strategy
- Serve as a reliable, respected leader who leads by example and earns trust through consistency
Vice President of Operations – Preferred Background & Skills:
- Experience in steel construction, PEMB (pre-engineered metal buildings), or structural steel
- Familiarity with construction software platforms (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, or similar)
- Experience scaling operations within companies growing from $25M–$100M+
- Spanish language skills a plus
- KB-1 license or equivalent contractor credentials (not required, but valued)
