Product Designer – PET Packaging Solutions
We’re seeking a skilled and creative Product Designer to join our team, specializing in PET rigid packaging. In this role, you’ll contribute to the design and development of innovative, brand-supporting packaging for consumer products – from concept to production. You’ll work on both single-stage and two-stage PET containers, with additional opportunities to support closures and extrusion blow molded products.
Product Designer – PET Bottles Responsibilities:
- Design high-quality PET plastic containers using 3D CAD tools, with a focus on functionality, manufacturability, and visual appeal.
- Bring creative design solutions to life that align with client branding while meeting engineering and production standards.
- Collaborate directly with customers and internal teams to understand product needs and refine design concepts.
- Create technical documentation, including 2D drawings, design templates, and manufacturing specs.
- Support the mold development process and help define tooling requirements for prototypes and production.
- Design ancillary tooling components for use in prototype and production environments.
- Develop and manage 3D printing (currently outsourced).
- Develop FEA testing capabilities if required.
- Contribute to long-term product innovation strategies and stay current with emerging technologies in packaging and material science.
- Work closely with operations, engineering, and business development to ensure seamless project execution.
Product Designer – PET Bottles Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years’ strong experience in designing PET Bottles (not injection-molded).
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
- Proficient in SolidWorks.
- Strong visual communication abilities; ability to sketch concepts or create product renderings is a plus.
- Familiarity with the product lifecycle from concept through manufacturing.
- Clear communication skills – both written and verbal – including technical documentation and design reviews.
- Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple active projects.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Product Designer – PET Bottles Culture and Benefits:
