Requirements:
- 8+ years of CNC machining experience or State Journeyman certification
- Proven experience programming and setting up CNC lathes
- Proficiency with CAM programming software
- Strong ability to read blueprints, specs, and use precision measuring instruments
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to train and lead operators in a production setting
- Commitment to safety and quality standards
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods
Responsibilities:
- Program and set up CNC lathes to run customer parts with consistent quality
- Use CAM software to optimize production and machine capabilities
- Select, align, and secure tooling to maximize tool life and reduce downtime
- Train operators and ensure smooth transition from setup to production
- Monitor machine operations and coordinate with management to resolve issues
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe workspaces
- Assist with process improvement and team training
