As Director of Tax Intelligence , you’ll work side-by-side with our founders, engineers, and data scientists to build the next generation of intelligent tax software. You'll bring deep tax domain expertise to help refine our data extraction models, guide new product development, and ensure our solutions meet real-world practitioner needs.

Director of Tax Intelligence – Responsibilities:
- Act as the internal subject matter expert (SME) on tax workflows, particularly involving K-1s, K-3s, and other pass-through entity filings
- Collaborate with product and engineering to design new features and streamline data extraction logic
- Analyze and annotate tax documents to improve our AI data model accuracy
- Conduct research on federal and state-specific tax nuances and edge cases
- Engage with pilot customers to gather feedback and iterate on product features
- Help shape the roadmap for new AI-powered tools targeting broader tax form automation
Director of Tax Intelligence – Requirements & Qualifications:
- Licensed CPA with 2–6 years of experience in public accounting
- Hands-on experience preparing tax returns for complex entities (pass-throughs, tiered partnerships, multi-state returns)
- Familiar with modern tax preparation software, including CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx, GoSystem, SurePrep, AutoFlow, SafeSend, K1x
- Comfortable in Excel; bonus if you're familiar with structured data formats like JSON
- Self-starter with high agency, curious mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup
