Plant Manager – Scrap Metal Facility | Texas
This is an opportunity to step into a hands-on leadership role at a full-processing yard with a stable and well-established scrap metal company. The team is tight-knit, experienced, and ready for someone who can lead from the ground up and improve operational flow without red tape.
Plant Manager for Scrap Facility– Requirements & Qualifications:
- Direct experience in a full-processing scrap metal facility is required
- Minimum 5–8 years of supervisory or management experience in a scrapyard
- Strong knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous operations
- Proficient in safety protocols and environmental compliance
- Comfortable operating and managing heavy equipment and processing machinery
- Working knowledge of inventory systems and material flow
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred Background & Skills:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
- Experience with small-to-mid-sized scrap facilities (20 employees or less)
- Familiarity with scrap software (e.g., Recy Systems, Scrap Dragon, or similar)
- History of improving plant efficiency, reducing costs, or increasing material throughput
- CDL or heavy equipment certifications are a plus
