Executive Chef — Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Executive Chef in a high-volume, high-quality restaurant or club
- Experience overseeing multiple outlets (e.g. restaurant, lounge, catering/events, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor large, diverse teams
- Strong grasp of food costing, ordering systems, labor management, and kitchen financials
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, constantly evolving environments
- Experience running frequent private events (cocktail parties, tastings, dinners for 50–300+ guests)
- A “working chef” mindset — comfortable jumping on the line, training junior cooks, or solving logistical issues
Executive Chef — Preferred Background & Skills
- Background that includes both fine dining and volume-driven operations
- Experience in a members club, hotel F&B program, or multi-venue hospitality group
- Culinary degree or formal training is a plus, but not required
- Strong event menu development experience
- Familiarity with Brooklyn or NYC’s evolving food scene and customer expectations
