Position Details:
- Full-time, 12-month role
- Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
BCBA / LBA Responsibilities:
- Train staff on ABA assessments and classroom strategies to boost student engagement
- Support headteachers in setting student goals and implementing behavior plans
- Conduct observations and consult with team members on behavioral interventions
- Assess need for, develop, and monitor FBAs and BIPs
- Use behavior data to track progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Collaborate with families, teachers, and providers on learning and behavioral concerns
- Lead professional development in ABA; supervise Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs)
- Provide direct support during student crises and participate in the admissions process
- Maintain accurate behavioral records and support team in data documentation
- Engage in empathic listening with students and parents to plan appropriate goals and actions
BCBA / LBA Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in Applied Behavior Analysis
- BCBA and NYS LBA (or eligible to acquire the license)
- Experience with a variety of behavioral assessment tools for a variety of ages and ability levels
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills
- Outstanding clinical intervention, consultation, and assessment skills
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Genuine passion for working with children
