Ruby on Rails Developer (Fully Remote – Lead Role)
We are seeking an experienced Ruby on Rails Developer to take on a leadership role in a dynamic, fully remote, technology-driven company. In this remote position, you will be responsible for leading critical initiatives, driving engineering best practices, and mentoring engineers within our B2B marketplace technology team.
As a key contributor, you will oversee technologies that power our marketplace, working with legacy code and addressing technical debt while enhancing the infrastructure with the latest features. Your work will directly impact a major revenue source in the entertainment field.

Ruby on Rails Developer Requirements
- BA in Computer Science or a related field.
- 8+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails (latest releases, including 7.1, 7.2, and 8.0).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and continuous integration environments is a plus
- Extensive experience in building and maintaining high-throughput backend services and APIs at scale.
- Familiarity with additional technologies such as Kafka, Postgres, Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, and GitHub.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to work collaboratively, lead teams and mentor other developers effectively.
- Experience with AWS services like RDS, ElastiCache, and CloudSearch is a plus.
- Experience with cloud-based, low-downtime applications and microservices architectures is a plus
Ruby on Rails Developer Responsibilities:
- Lead large-scale technical initiatives, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and secure systems are delivered.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align technical decisions with business goals.
- Mentor and support engineers, helping them overcome technical obstacles and grow in their careers.
- Work with Architects to design and implement system-level solutions that adhere to company standards.
- Drive engineering best practices and ensure consistency across teams.
- Contribute to shaping the company’s technology strategy, aligning innovations with business needs and scalability.
- Take ownership of technologies that power the B2B marketplace and lead efforts to improve maintainability through addressing technical debt.
- Ensure solutions support business objectives and optimize the customer experience.
