A leading civil engineering and development consulting firm is conducting a confidential search for a Senior Civil Engineer with deep expertise in commercial and residential land development. This is a high-impact leadership role, ideal for someone ready to guide complex site development projects from feasibility to final build-out.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead design and oversight of site development projects: grading, drainage, utilities, and roadways
- Manage and mentor a team of engineers and CAD designers
- Navigate zoning, entitlements, and permitting processes with local and state agencies
- Review and approve construction documents and technical reports
- Collaborate directly with clients, developers, and municipalities
- Oversee project budgets, timelines, and resource planning
- Support construction coordination and site execution
- Ensure compliance with environmental and stormwater regulations
🧠 What You Bring:
- B.S. in Civil Engineering (PE license required)
- 12+ years in civil engineering with land development focus
- Expertise in site layout, grading, stormwater management, and utility coordination
- Familiar with Civil 3D and permitting standards (Carlson Civil Suite a plus)
- Excellent team leadership and communication skills
- Experience with local zoning and environmental review processes (e.g., DEP, MS4)
