We are seeking an experienced Water Treatment Plant Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and successful execution of civil infrastructure projects—particularly those involving water treatment facilities, pump stations, sewers, and water/storm drain pipelines. From pre-construction to closeout, the Project Manager will ensure project delivery on time, on budget, and in compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead public works projects ranging from $5M to $100M+, including water treatment facilities
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and resource allocations
- Oversee and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, field crews, and deliveries
- Ensure strict compliance with plans, safety protocols, and all local/state/federal regulations
- Act as the primary contact for clients, engineers, inspectors, and public agencies
- Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, progress billing, and project documentation
- Conduct jobsite visits to monitor safety, productivity, and quality
- Lead project meetings and communicate key updates to stakeholders
- Proactively identify risks, delays, and resolve potential claims
- Drive project closeout and turnover, including final inspections and punch lists
Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management experience in heavy civil construction/public works, with a strong preference for Water Treatment Plant experience
- Demonstrated success managing large infrastructure or underground utility projects
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred)
- Familiarity with Caltrans/municipal specs, labor compliance, and permitting
- Proficiency with project management software: Primavera P6, Procore, MS Project, or similar
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation abilities
- Previous contractor-side experience required
- OSHA 30 certified or willingness to obtain
- PMP or CCM certification is a plus
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 annually
- Bonus: Up to 10% annually
- Profit Sharing: 7%
