Director of Engineering – Florida Gulf Coast

A Forbes-rated luxury resort on Florida’s west coast is seeking a hands-on Director of Engineering to lead all facility operations, including the marina, golf clubhouse, HOA-managed residences, and resort infrastructure. This is a highly visible, field-based leadership role ideal for someone who enjoys being on-site, directly managing maintenance, repairs, and redevelopment efforts.

Director of Engineering Benefits and Compensation:

• Base salary up to $120,000 annually

• Target bonus eligibility of 15%-20% of base

Director of Engineering Requirements & Qualifications:

• 5–7 years of engineering or facilities leadership experience in resorts, hospitality, or commercial real estate

• Proven ability to lead a hands-on maintenance team and work directly on repairs, inspections, and system troubleshooting

• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems

• Experience managing capital projects, vendor relationships, and departmental budgets

• Comfortable overseeing HOA-related maintenance, including billing and communication with HOA boards

Director of Engineering Preferred Background & Skills:

• Familiarity with HotSOS or similar CMMS/work order platforms

• Vocational or technical certifications in HVAC, electrical, or mechanical trades
