Job Title: Senior Electrical and Controls Engineer

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Electrical and Controls Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will lead the design, installation, and operation of fluid and solids reprocessing systems to provide safe, cost-effective options for fluid and solids recycling and waste minimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement electrical control systems and automation solutions for industrial equipment and processes
- Create and review electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD Electrical or similar tools
- Program and debug PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.), HMIs, and SCADA systems
- Lead design reviews, electrical risk assessments, and compliance checks (UL, NEC, NFPA, CE, etc.)
- Support project management efforts including cost estimation, scheduling, and resource planning
- Interface with cross-disciplinary teams (mechanical, software, production) to ensure system integration
- Troubleshoot electrical and control issues in both design and field environments
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across departments
- Ensure all documentation and systems adhere to safety, quality, and regulatory standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in electrical and controls engineering, ideally in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in PLC/HMI programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or others)
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, control panel design, and industrial networking protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar tools
- Familiarity with VFDs, servo motors, sensors, and instrumentation
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work both independently and in a team-oriented environment
