Business Development Executive – East Coast (NYC-Based)

Business Development Executive Benefits
- Salary: up to $130K
- Uncapped commission: 8 % on new subscription revenue, 3 % on renewals and consulting; expect to earn 100% of base salary

Business Development Executive Requirements
- 5+ years carrying a new-business quota for syndicated data, BI, SaaS, or insights subscriptions
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or beating targets on deal sizes $100k–$500k+
- Have a ready network inside NYC media and entertainment circles. Expertise in at least one of these verticals—TV/Film, Sports, Gaming, Advertising, or Consulting/Investment is mandatory
- Expertise in prospecting, self-sourcing leads, negotiating, and closing without heavy presales support
- Use performance metrics: ARR booked, average deal value, win-rate, and quota attainment
- Polished face-to-face presence; can translate complex data stories into clear business outcomes for non-technical executives
- Understand research and advisory firms that provide market intelligence, data analysis, and consulting services to businesses and organizations (i.e. Nielsen, Kantar, Forrester, Morning Consult, CB Insights, Gartner, etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree
Business Development Executive Responsibilities
- Hunt and close net-new subscription business, from first cold outreach to signed contract.
- Build and manage a healthy pipeline, keeping weekly and quarterly forecasts razor-sharp.
- Sell to VP and C-suite leaders in strategy, corporate development, content sales, finance, and research.
- Partner with internal analysts and marketing to craft compelling, data-driven pitches.
- Represent the brand at industry conferences, client roadshows, and on-site workshops across the East Coast.
- Share thought leadership on LinkedIn and other channels to elevate both your profile and ours.
