Position Overview:
We are recruiting for a skilled attorney with 5+ years of experience to handle complex construction litigation cases. You will leverage your expertise in depositions, discovery, and case strategy to achieve exceptional outcomes for clients. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse caseload of construction litigation matters, including contract disputes, construction defects, and payment claims.
- Lead depositions, oversee discovery processes (drafting and responding to requests), and prepare compelling motions and pleadings.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop strategic case plans aligned with client objectives.
- Represent clients in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and potentially trials.
- Conduct thorough legal research and provide insightful counsel on construction law, including liens, warranties, and regulatory compliance.
- Foster strong client relationships through clear, proactive communication.
- Mentor junior team members, contributing to a collaborative and inclusive culture.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and an active Georgia Bar license in good standing.
- Minimum of 5 years of legal experience, with a strong focus on construction litigation.
- Proven expertise in taking and defending depositions, managing discovery, and drafting legal documents.
- In-depth knowledge of construction law and industry-specific regulations.
- Exceptional analytical, research, and writing skills.
- Ability to manage complex cases and thrive in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.
- Outstanding communication skills with a client-first approach.
- Deposition and trial experience is a plus but not required.
- Comfort working independently or collaboratively, with flexibility for hybrid or in-office arrangements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience representing construction professionals, such as architects, engineers, or contractors.
- Familiarity with Georgia-specific construction laws and regulations.
- A portable book of business is a bonus but not required.
