We are seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Construction Superintendent to lead the refit and renovation of a water treatment plant, as well as other water treatment projects.
The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the project, ensure safety, quality, and timely completion; manage the crews, subcontractors, and resources.
This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in heavy civil construction, and familiarity with water treatment facility upgrades.
Candidates willing to relocate or telecommute from any SOCAL location are welcome with complimentary housing available.

Civil Construction Superintendent Responsibilities:
· Manage day-to-day operations of the water treatment plant refit and renovation project
· Coordinate and supervise construction crews, subcontractors, and vendors
· Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations
· Monitor progress, budgets, and schedules, addressing issues to keep the project on track
· Oversee installation and upgrades of critical systems, including piping, concrete structures, mechanical equipment
· Maintain clear communication with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders
· Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to environmental Standards
· Resolve on-site challenges and implement solutions to maintain project milestones
Civil Construction Superintendent Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field: Preferred
· Experience with public works or municipal water treatment projects: Required
· Certifications such as OSHA 30, PMP, or equivalent
· Minimum of 7 years of experience in heavy civil construction, with at least 3 years as a superintendent
· Proven experience managing water treatment plants or similar infrastructure projects
· Strong knowledge of concrete construction, excavation, and mechanical systems installation.
· Familiarity with OSHA regulations and environmental compliance for water treatment facilities
· Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
· Experience working for a contractor
· Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
· Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, or similar).
· Valid Driver's license and the ability to work in office or on-site visits
