Produce Manager Qualifications:
- 5+ years in grocery previous – food market experience is required
- Ability to lead and motivate team members
- Understands food shelf lives, rotation and proper storage
- Enjoys providing first class customer service at all times
- Able to establish relationships with numerous different suppliers
- Able to develop a pricing scheme to achieve targeted gross margins
Produce Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of grocery store operations in fresh departments including sales, merchandising, inventory management, and customer service
- Develop and execute strategies to drive sales growth, increase market share, and achieve financial targets
- Build and lead a high-performing team including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management while fostering teamwork and a positive work environment
- Monitor KPIs to identify areas for improvement
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
