Sous Chef Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and service.
- Oversee kitchen staff and help cultivate a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Contribute to menu planning and development, emphasizing seasonal and innovative dishes.
- Implement and maintain kitchen policies and procedures to uphold cleanliness, safety, and efficiency.
- Monitor and control food and labor costs, working closely with the Executive Chef to optimize kitchen performance.
Sous Chef Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager in a high-volume, upscale-casual or fine dining establishment.
- Strong culinary skills and a deep appreciation for quality ingredients and creative plating.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a focus on teamwork and mentorship.
- Familiarity with inventory management, ordering procedures, and kitchen systems.
