We are in search of a Restaurant Assistant General Manager to oversee FOH operations for a unique, scratch kitchen restaurant. This highly successful, multi-unit company provides a great work environment and an elegantly casual approach to made-from-scratch cuisine. We are growing in the Raleigh market!
RESTAURANT ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER QUALIFICATIONS:
- College degree or equivalent experience in operations
- Two years prior restaurant experience minimum
- Financial and/or P&L experience
- Fluent English-speaking and writing skills
- Willing to assume responsibility for restaurant operations
- Management/Supervisory/Mentor experience required
- Able to lift 50 pounds to waist level
- Customer-friendly demeanor
- Neat, clean, and professional appearance
- Strong computer/Internet skills, including Office suite
- Willing to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
- Willingness to work on your feet
- Working knowledge of local, state, and federal employment regulations and laws
RESTAURANT ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor, and reinforce food safety procedures
- Ensure food safety procedures are executed according to policy and health/sanitation regulations
- Work to contribute to sales goals vs. the prior year
- Manage food, labor, material costs, and other controllable expenses
- Execute policies and procedures for the control of cash, property, product, and equipment
- Monitor inventory levels through ordering to ensure product availability
- Manage and maintain a safe working condition
- Train and manage crew/employees in a manner that maximizes retention
- Interview and recommend applicants for selection in hiring
- Anticipate and identify problems and recommend appropriate corrective actions
- Maintain fast, accurate service, positive guest relations, and ensure products are consistent with quality standards
