Civil Litigation Attorney Qualifications/ Responsibilities:
- Must have 3–5 years of appellate civil litigation attorney experience with legal firms
- Prepare for trials, participate in trials by examining witnesses and presenting evidence.
- Reviewing trial court records, researching legal issues, drafting briefs, and arguing cases before appellate judges
- Presenting arguments in person before the appellate court, engaging with the judges, and responding to their questions
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred!
- Conduct legal research, analyze case law, prepare legal arguments.
- Assessing the merits of a case, providing guidance on the likelihood of success on appeal, and advising on whether to pursue appellate remedies
