A fast-growing leader in the specialty flooring and concrete coatings industry is seeking a Business Development Estimator to drive commercial estimating efforts and support strategic growth. This fully remote position is ideal for a seasoned construction professional with a strong background in estimating—particularly in flooring, epoxy, or concrete polishing.
Estimator Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial flooring and coating projects
- Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to define project scope and pricing
- Utilize platforms such as PlanHub, BuildingConnected, and ConstructConnect to manage bids
- Analyze bid opportunities and submit compelling proposals
- Oversee RFIs, change orders, and scope adjustments throughout the project lifecycle
- Support business development by cultivating relationships with new commercial clients
Estimator Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial construction estimating (flooring/coatings preferred)
- Proficient in digital estimating and bid management tools
- Strong understanding of contracts, job costing, and change order processes
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, client-focused mindset
- Self-driven, highly organized, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment
Estimator Compensation & Benefits:
- Base Salary: $70,000–$150,000, based on experience and qualifications
- Performance Incentives: Commission and bonus structure tied to project wins and revenue generation
