Civil Construction Superintendent – Water Treatment Projects (Palm Desert Area)
$160,000 – $200,000 + Housing Option + Profit Sharing + Annual Bonus + Benefits
Are you a strong leader with technical expertise and familiarity with water treatment plants? As an established heavy civil construction firm, we are hiring an experienced Civil Construction Superintendent to lead major upgrades on-site at a water treatment plant in the Palm Desert area. This is a high-impact role overseeing field operations, subcontractors, and construction crews on complex infrastructure projects with a focus on water and wastewater systems.

Civil Construction Superintendent Requirements
- 7+ years of heavy on-site civil construction experience, with at least 3 in a superintendent role for a contractor
- Prior experience managing public works or municipal water treatment projects is mandatory
- Strong knowledge of excavation, mechanical systems, and concrete construction
- Proficiency with field scheduling and project tracking tools (e.g., Procore, Primavera)
- OSHA 30 certification or equivalent; highly preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read construction drawings and specs with confidence
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is a plus
Civil Construction Superintendent Responsibilities
- Lead daily site activities for water treatment plant renovations and related infrastructure projects
- Supervise and coordinate crews, subcontractors, and vendors to keep the project on time and on budget
- Enforce safety, quality, and environmental standards across the job site
- Oversee installation of mechanical equipment, piping, and concrete structures
- Monitor project progress, budgets, schedules and troubleshoot field issues to maintain momentum
- Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders
- Conduct routine site inspections and ensure compliance with plans and regulations
