Plumbing Inspector and Plans Examiner Requirements & Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid Florida driver’s license
• Proven experience in plumbing or building inspections, ideally with municipal plan review exposure
• Ability to inspect plumbing systems in new builds, remodels, and repair projects for code compliance
• Skilled in reviewing and approving permit applications and construction documents to ensure compliance with city, state, and federal regulations
• Confident in communicating code requirements and technical details to contractors, developers, and homeowners
Plumbing Inspector and Plans Examiner Preferred Background & Skills:
• State of Florida Plumbing Inspector License and/or ICC Building Plans Examiner Certification (preferred or obtainable within 12 months)
• Working knowledge of Florida Building Code and local permitting systems
