We’re looking for a dynamic Financial Analyst to spearhead our ratings and research efforts in the insurance sector. In this role, you’ll take full ownership of our proprietary ratings models—shaping industry benchmarks and playing a key role in promoting financial transparency and well-being for consumers and investors across the country.
Financial Insurance Analyst Responsibilities:
- Own and enhance proprietary ratings models, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and adaptability in a dynamic financial environment.
- Continuously monitor industry trends to refine data capture methods, model logic, and rating outcomes.
- Oversee the production of quarterly ratings, guides, and custom reports, ensuring precision and timely delivery.
- Produce impactful research and thought leadership, including articles and reports, while addressing inquiries from internal teams, clients, and the media.
- Collaborate with data teams, including database administrators and data managers, to maintain data quality and support the development of new initiatives.
- Lead end-to-end project execution, coordinating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive results.
- Support outreach and engagement efforts, including marketing initiatives, client presentations, and industry events to promote our ratings and insights.
- Mentor and supervise junior analysts and support staff, fostering growth and ensuring high-quality output.
Financial Insurance Analyst Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, ideally within the insurance or banking sectors.
- Strong analytical, and argumentative skills, with the ability to distill AND defend complex data into actionable insights.
- Proficiency with database environments, including SQL.
- Experience with NEIC statutory data and S&P Global data preferred
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated and committed to excellence, with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field.
