Position Overview:
The Sous Chef will play a key role in upholding our commitment to culinary excellence by overseeing kitchen operations, leading and mentoring the culinary team, and ensuring seamless execution of our menu. This role requires a hands-on approach, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, train, and develop the kitchen team while fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Ensure all dishes meet our high standards of quality, presentation, and consistency.
- Assist in menu development, recipe execution, and maintaining food cost controls.
- Uphold strict sanitation, safety, and food handling standards.
- Work closely with the Executive Chef to drive operational success and efficiency.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relations to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume, upscale restaurant.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food costing, and inventory management.
- Passion for culinary excellence with a deep understanding of contemporary dining trends.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
