Tax Accountant Responsibilities and Qualifications
- Experience: 3–5 years preparing tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and trusts.
- Education: Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of tax codes, ProSeries & QuickBooks proficiency, and excellent organizational abilities.
- A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to meeting deadlines.
- Prepare and deliver individual, partnership, and trust tax returns during tax season.
- Collaborate with advisors on proactive tax planning and projections.
- Research complex tax issues and manage IRS/state correspondence.
- Perform bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and payroll tax processing in QuickBooks.
- Provide exceptional client service through clear and timely communication.
