Director of Operations – New York State
A respected facilities management organization is seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Operations to lead janitorial service operations across New York State. This role offers the opportunity to drive operational excellence, manage a multi-regional management team, and shape the growth of a well-established service business.
Director of Operations Benefits & Compensation
- Competitive base salary of $115,000–$125,000

Director of Operations Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 7–10 years of leadership experience in commercial janitorial services, facility management, or multi-unit service operations.
- Proven track record managing multiple Operations Managers across a wide geographic area.
- Strong financial skills with experience managing P&L, labor budgets, and contract margins.
- Must reside in Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, or Albany, NY.
- Ability to travel up to 40–50% across New York State.
- Proficiency with operational management software, CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Director of Operations Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor regional Operations Managers to ensure consistent, high-quality janitorial service delivery.
- Oversee all site operations across key New York territories, maintaining client satisfaction and contract compliance.
- Manage financial performance including budgets, labor costs, and operational efficiencies.
- Develop and enforce standardized workflows, safety protocols, and quality assurance audits.
- Serve as senior escalation point for client issues, driving timely resolutions that enhance retention.
- Collaborate with business development on new account launches, pricing, and contract renewals.
