A well-established hospitality group is seeking an experienced, hands-on General Manager to oversee all operations at a unique, fast-casual café specializing in fresh, scratch-made, seasonal food.
This is an opportunity for a strong hospitality leader who understands how to run a successful restaurant operation, build and develop teams, establish effective systems, and create a culture of accountability and exceptional guest service. The General Manager will have full oversight of the café, with all employees reporting directly or indirectly through the management structure to this role. They will work closely with the Chef de Cuisine, who leads back-of-house culinary operations, to ensure a seamless, high-quality experience across the entire business.
The ideal candidate is an operationally minded leader who enjoys being visible and engaged in the business, balancing strategic oversight with hands-on involvement in daily operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all daily operations of the café, including front-of-house, back-of-house, and overall business performance.
- Provide leadership and direction to all employees, establishing clear expectations, accountability, and performance standards.
- Lead, develop, and support the management team and department leaders, including the Chef de Cuisine.
- Partner with the Chef de Cuisine to ensure consistent food quality, kitchen execution, staffing, and operational efficiency.
- Oversee front-of-house operations, including guest experience, counter service, coffee operations, and service standards.
- Establish and maintain effective operating systems, procedures, and processes across all departments.
- Manage labor, scheduling, payroll, inventory, purchasing, food costs, and overall financial performance.
- Monitor business performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, profitability, and the guest experience.
- Recruit, train, develop, and retain a strong team while fostering a positive and accountable work environment.
- Maintain high standards for cleanliness, food safety, organization, and overall presentation.
- Adapt to changing business levels and seasonal demands while remaining visible and engaged in daily operations.
- Collaborate with ownership and leadership on operational improvements, business goals, and seasonal menu initiatives.
Qualifications
- Previous General Manager experience in a fast-casual, QSR or café,
- Proven ability to oversee an entire restaurant operation and lead both front- and back-of-house teams.
- Experience managing department leaders, supervisors, and larger teams with multiple areas of responsibility.
- Strong understanding of restaurant financials, including labor costs, food costs, inventory, purchasing, scheduling, and payroll.
- Demonstrated ability to establish operational systems, improve processes, and maintain consistent standards.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to recruit, train, motivate, develop, and hold employees accountable.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A hands-on, approachable leadership style with a strong understanding of hospitality and guest service.
- Comfortable partnering with a Chef de Cuisine while maintaining oversight and accountability for the entire operation.
