Engineer V, Electrical (Oil & Gas) Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Minimum of 10+ years of relevant industry experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure preferred
- Deep knowledge of electrical engineering principles and industry codes
- Proficiency with electrical engineering software and technical drawing interpretation
- Strong communication and facilitation skills in English, both written and verbal
Engineer V, Electrical (Oil & Gas) Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the electrical engineering team, providing technical expertise and guidance
- Oversee equipment sizing, selection, and alternative analyses for projects
- Support engineering phases including design, procurement, construction, and commissioning
- Communicate project plans, status, and deliverables to internal teams, clients, and stakeholders
- Monitor project scope, schedule, and budgets while identifying and managing changes
- Prepare, review, and approve technical documents such as calculations, specifications, and BOMs
- Contribute to strategic decisions affecting the engineering function, working independently when needed
