Restaurant General Manager Compensation & Benefits

Restaurant General Manager Responsibilities
- Lead daily front-of-house and back-of-house restaurant operations
- Drive sales, profitability, guest satisfaction, and operational performance
- Manage P&L results, labor costs, food costs, inventory, and controllable expenses
- Forecast sales, develop schedules, and adjust staffing to meet business demands
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop restaurant managers and hourly employees
- Maintain high standards for food quality, service, cleanliness, and food safety
- Build a positive, accountable team culture focused on performance and retention
- Work alongside the team during peak business periods and provide hands-on operational support
- Resolve guest concerns and identify opportunities to improve the overall dining experience
Restaurant General Manager Qualifications
- Proven restaurant management experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of restaurant P&L statements, labor management, food costs, and profitability
- Experience overseeing staffing, scheduling, inventory, and daily restaurant operations
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop, and hold employees accountable
- Working knowledge of restaurant POS systems and operational reporting
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Comfortable leading from the floor and supporting both FOH and BOH operations
- Ability to balance financial performance, employee engagement, and guest satisfaction
Previous General Manager experience is preferred; strong Assistant General Managers with significant financial and operational responsibility are encouraged to apply.
