We have an extraordinary wedding business (approximately 80% of Event sales), along with corporate events and social celebrations. This position plays a pivotal role in driving revenue, managing a high-performing sales team, and developing strategies that expand our client base. Director of Event Sales Requirements & Qualifications:
- Experience: 7+ years in hospitality sales, with at least 3 years managing a sales team
- Industry Knowledge: Expertise in both corporate and social event sales, with insight into market trends and competition
- Relationship Builder: Track record of building and maintaining long-term client and partner relationships
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for both client and internal collaboration
- Organization & Time Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, project management tools, and event software (e.g., Tripleseat, Teamwork)
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Sales, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Director of Event Sales Preferred Background & Skills:
- Sales Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop a sales team to consistently achieve and exceed goals
- Sales Strategy: Design and implement annual sales plans that increase lead generation, conversions, and overall revenue
- Business Development: Cultivate strong relationships with clients, vendors, and industry associations while seeking new opportunities for growth
- Event Collaboration: Partner with culinary and operations teams to deliver customized event experiences with seamless execution
- Performance Tracking: Analyze sales data and KPIs, adjusting strategies to ensure targets are met or exceeded
- Networking & Market Engagement: Represent the brand at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to strengthen visibility and drive business
