Commercial Plumbing Project Manager – O'Fallon, MO

Commercial Plumbing Project Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of commercial plumbing or mechanical construction experience preferred
- Strong background with a commercial plumbing or mechanical contractor
- Previous experience as a Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, Superintendent, or similar leadership role
- In-depth knowledge of commercial plumbing systems and construction processes
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documents
- Experience managing multiple commercial projects simultaneously
- Comfortable managing projects ranging from approximately $25K to $2.5M+
- Experience with project budgets, scheduling, change orders, purchasing, and cost control
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with field leadership, general contractors, owners, vendors, and subcontractors
- Union plumbing experience is a plus
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a practical, hands-on management style
Commercial Plumbing Project Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Manage commercial plumbing projects from preconstruction and kickoff through final completion
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, manpower plans, and overall project expectations
- Collaborate closely with superintendents, foremen, and field teams to keep projects on schedule and within budget
- Coordinate with general contractors, owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, vendors, and other trades
- Review drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, contracts, and change orders
- Manage material purchasing, equipment needs, and subcontractor coordination
- Track project costs, labor productivity, billing, and overall financial performance
- Identify potential project issues early and develop practical solutions
- Participate in project meetings and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project
- Support field leadership while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and customer satisfaction
- Help improve project management processes and contribute to the continued growth of the company
